Air cooler is the equipment to take the ambient air as a cooling medium, swept across the fin tube,make the high temperature fluid in tube to be cooled or condensed , referred to as: air cooler.

The use of air coolers instead of water coolers for condensing cooling of the media ,not only saves water but also reduces pollution. In addition, it also has the advantages of low maintenance cost, safe and reliable operation and long service life.



In the refinery and petrochemical plant ‘s cooling equipment, air coolers become an indispensable class of equipment. Its range of applications includes the condensation of overhead gascooling to gasoline, diesel cooling in a variety of different conditions. In the chemical industry, electricity, metallurgy and other industries, the air cooler also has a wide range of applications.

Air cooler basic components:
Tube bundle: tube box, fin tube and frame assembly. The fluid to be cooled or condensed passes through the tube, the air flows across the tube bundle of the outside the tube, and the fluid is cooled or condensed or exchanged for heat;
Axial flow fan: one or several axial fans for a group, to drive the flow of air;

Framework: air cooling tube bundle and fan support components;
Accessories: a shutter, steam coils, ladders, platforms and so on.

Air cooler classification:

1) According to the air cooler tube bundle layout Type classification: horizontal air cooler; inclined top air cooler; vertical air cooler; annular air cooler.
2) According to the air cooler ventilation classification: natural ventilation type air cooler; blast air cooler; induced draft air cooler.
3) According to the air cooler cooling mode classification: dry air cooler; wet air cooler; wet and dry joint air cooler; both sides of the spray joint air cooler.
